Editorial policy
EDITORIAL ETHICS COMPLIANCE PROCEDURE
In its activities, the editors of the collection "Scientific Bulletin of Construction" are guided by the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Code of Ethics of a Ukrainian scientist, as well as the experience of foreign and Ukrainian professional societies, scientific organizations and publication editors.
Ethical obligations of the editorial board of the collection
- The editorial board is responsible for the publication.
- All materials submitted for publication are carefully selected and reviewed. The editorial board reserves the right to reject the article or return it for revision. The author is obliged to revise the article in accordance with the comments of reviewers or the editorial board.
- The editorial board reviews all manuscripts submitted for publication without prejudice, evaluating each article appropriately, regardless of race, religion, national origin, and the position or place of work of the author(s). The editorial board makes fair and impartial decisions, independent of commercial or other interests, and ensures a fair review process.
- The editorial board may reject the manuscript without review if it considers that the work does not correspond to the journal's profile.
- The editorial board of the journal opposes falsification, plagiarism, submission of one work by the author to several journals, multiple copying of the article's content in different works, and misleading the public about the real contribution of the authors to the publication.
- The editorial board has the right to withdraw even a published article under the conditions of finding a violation of someone's rights or generally accepted norms of scientific ethics. About this fact of removal of the article, the editorial office notifies both the author who submitted the article and the organization where the work was performed.
- The editor and editorial board members do not provide information related to the content of the manuscript under consideration to other persons, except for persons participating in the professional evaluation of this manuscript. After a positive decision from the editor, the article is published in the journal and placed on the relevant electronic resources.
- In accordance with international legislation regarding the observance of copyright on electronic information resources, the site, electronic journal, or project materials may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any form (electronic or printed) without the prior written consent of the journal editors. When using published materials in the context of other documents, a reference to the original source is required.
- Editors, authors, and reviewers must declare their interests, which may affect their objectivity when editing and reviewing article materials (case of conflict of interests). These can be intellectual interests, financial, personal, political, or religious interests.
- Prevention of illegal publications is the responsibility of every author, editor, reviewer, publisher, and organization.
- In certain cases of non-compliance with the requirements for materials published in scientific specialized publications (absence of the recommended structure of the article and its corresponding content, lack of new scientific results obtained directly by the authors in the article), the editors may offer the authors to publish their materials under the headings "Materials of a review nature" or "Materials of a scientific and methodological nature". At the same time, the articles published in these sections are not considered professional and are not assigned a digital identifier of the object of intellectual property - DOI (Digital object identifier).
Ethical obligations of the authors
- The main responsibility of the author is to provide an accurate report on the research conducted, as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Authors must present their results clearly and unambiguously so that other scientists can confirm their conclusions without falsifying the data or improperly manipulating them.
- The authors of the articles bear full responsibility for the content of the articles and the very fact of their publication.
- The author should cite those publications that had a decisive influence on the essence of the work being presented, as well as those that can quickly introduce the reader to earlier works important for understanding this study. It is also necessary to properly indicate the sources of fundamentally important materials used in this work if the author themselves did not obtain these materials.
- Submission of plagiarism as an original work and submission for publication of a previously published article is unacceptable. In cases where these facts are discovered, the authors of the provided materials are responsible.
- The co-authors of the article must be all those persons who made a significant scientific contribution to the presented work and who share responsibility for the results obtained. The author who submits the manuscript for publication is responsible for ensuring that only those persons who meet the authorship criteria are included in the list of co-authors and assumes responsibility for the consent of other authors of the article for its publication in the journal.
- Authors must notify the editor of any potential conflict of interest that could be affected by the publication of the results contained in this manuscript.
- Authors must clearly indicate the sources of all quoted or presented information and must properly issue bibliographic references to literary sources from which information is used in the work, in accordance with the requirements of DSTU 8302:2015 "Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General provisions and rules of drafting".
- The editorial board has the right to refuse publication of an article in case of non-compliance with editorial requirements.
