Abstract

Successful implementation of construction projects is a complex and complex task. Most major projects are well over-budgeted and delayed, and the cost of doing so is often significantly lower than planned or even negative. In a number of cases, it is possible to observe similar unsuccessful results from leading international companies with many years of experience and dozens of large projects. It should be noted that, on average, projects in the construction sector are much less efficient than in many other sectors. Delays in construction projects are important factors affecting housing market fluctuations. In turn, even small fluctuations in the housing market can have socio-political, commercial, demographic and other negative effects. This state of affairs justifies a detailed analysis of the significance and impact of delays in the implementation of projects in the construction sector, in particular in the Republic of Iraq.
