Most types of corrosion of Portland cement stone in inorganic liquid media are due to the chemical interaction of the substances dissolved in them with the products of cement hydration, mainly calcium hydroxide and calcium hydroaluminates. It is suggested that the addition of finely dispersed calcite contributes to the increase of the corrosion resistance of cement stone due to the formation of less soluble hydration products, as well as the formation of a denser cement stone structure. It has been experimentally confirmed that the addition of 10-20% of finely dispersed organogenic calcite-chalk significantly improves the corrosion resistance of concrete.
