Abstract

Temperature influences and cyclic loads can lead to the appearance of cracks in the metal and welded seams of metal chimneys. With the strengthening of the chimney trunk by welding the lining, the process of forming a system of welding voltages occurs. It is necessary to analyze summation of welding and external (active) stresses taking into account stress concentrators from fracture-like damages. With the help of the Selena-Results software complex, an elemental model of a
pipe with a crack in the welded seam has been constructed and stresses have been determined taking into account the stress concentrator (cracks). A technique was developed for calculating the summation of welding and power stresses at the site of
reinforcement of the pipe. As a result of the study, formulas were obtained that take into account residual stresses during welding of linings on the basis of summation of welding and external stresses and taking into account stress concentrators.
