Abstract

The article discusses the historical background of the formation and distribution of multifunctional complexes, as well as analyzes the problems of the urban environment affecting the development of such types of buildings. Having analyzed the world experience of designing multifunctional complexes, the main advantages of multifunctional complexes over monofunctional ones were revealed, as well as the principles of formation of multifunctional complexes. Special attention is paid to the environmental principle in the design of such complexes.
