Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the influence of kaolinite clay on the development of the structure and properties of white slag-alkali cement. The effect of kaolin on such characteristics of slag-alkaline cements as strength, setting time, whiteness, heat release, hydration neoplasms, and the degree of free alkali binding has been established. In this work, the authors have shown the possibility of effective control of the properties and structure formation of slag-alkaline cements through the use of a complex additive "kaolin + Portland cement". The positive all-round influence of the addition of kaolin on the properties and development of the structure of slag-alkaline cements is shown not only in standard, but also in more distant periods of
hardening.
