Abstract

. The article discusses the main stages of the development of landscape gardening in Ukraine in the twentieth century. The principles of the formation of a theoretical and practical basis in landscape gardening of the Soviet period are described. The results of the analysis of the basic principles of landscape gardening of the Soviet period are presented. Methods of forming a composite solution to a park and garden are disclosed. On the example of the city of Kharkov, these characteristics are revealed types of features of gardens and parks of the Soviet period.
