Abstract

Rational use of existing and development of new environmentally friendly transport technologies involves increasing requirements for the protection of personnel of transport enterprises, passengers and the environment from the impact of hazardous environmental factors of natural and anthropogenic origin. A particular danger to the functioning of transport systems is the areas of environmental disaster associated with the introduction of radioactive substances into the environment. In connection with this, in the process of training students in the direction of training "Transport Technologies" is planned to study the discipline "Civil Protection". The purpose of this study is to study the methodology of preliminary radiometric control of vegetable crops by a dosimeter-radiometer RKS-01 "STORA-TU". In accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Human Rights against Ionizing Radiation", the content of radionuclides in food, food raw materials and drinking water shall not exceed the approved levels in the established order. In the management of transportation processes in areas of emergency situations on the territory of Ukraine, radiation monitoring is carried out by units of radiation intelligence using the standard technical means of radiation detection and control, which have proven positive in radiation monitoring. At the same time, when working with a specific device, there is a need to create an effective algorithm that will provide reliable data. The manual for the operation of modern dosimeters specifies their technical characteristics, the device, and the procedure for working with the dosimeter; however, there is no clear methodology for determining the equivalent dose rate taking into account the specificity of the sampling of food products in the operating manual, so it needs to be developed. One of the modern dosimeters developed in Ukraine and capable of measuring the equivalent dose rate is the STORA-TU dosimeter-radiometer RKS-01.
