In this article we considered a possibility of revitalization of urban environment by inclusion of atrium spaces. Functionally and morally outdated urban building is a topical issue for many cities around the world, so development solutions that will help harmonize their architectural environment becomes very demanded. Atrium space's organization promotes a renewal and activation of the viability of urban environment. It's noted the property of urban atrium to transform the environment into a multifunctional system based on use of an integrated approach. Atrium space`s integration is considered as the way of preserving the authenticity of the existing urban environment and the possibility of forming new communication links. In the article shown are indicators that contribute to growing of the architectural environment comfort of the city, in which atrium space acts as a structural component. Urban atrium is a new addition to urban fabric and the way of creating a network of public spaces that change perceptions of surrounding buildings. Urban atrium space improves and transforms sociocultural processes in urban environment and is able to integrate its components into a common information environment. Atrium is considered to be a component with the help of which it is possible to set new spatial characteristics of urban building
and to create functional space. Environment, organized on the basis of atrium space, forms a public urban interior and promotes development of new architectural and spatial solutions with subsequent inclusion into existing urban building. Atrium space is considered as an effective way of urban environment revitalization, which promotes formation of new community centers in existing buildings. Revitalization of urban environment by means of inclusion of atrium spaces forms new centers of cultural attraction, structures existing building and promotes efficiency of urban areas usage.
