Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the main characteristics of modern membrane bioreactors and an actual data of the survey
of the existing treatment facilities. It is noted that among the implementations of membrane bioreactors are mostly used hollow fiber, flat sheet and tubular designs of membrane modules, which provide micro and ultrafiltration of the sludge mixture. The main advantages of the technology with membrane bioreactors in comparison with the classical system of biological wastewater treatment with secondary clarifiers are analyzed. The data of our own examinations of the operation of the membrane installation are presented.
