Abstract

Megalopolization is considered as an objective historical phenomenon; the process of formation of higher-level hierarchical systems, occurs within the “global” stage of the urbanization process, since the middle of the twentieth century, which is based on global world cities as a support frame for resettlement. There are zones of concentration of global cities and features of megacities, which are formed on their basis. In the context of this, it is defined as the image and recognizable of global cities resulting from unique architectural objects, including multifunctional high-rise complexes - “skyscrapers”.
