Abstract

The results of experimental studies of the mechanical properties of non-metallic composite reinforcement of the periodic profile of the "A" type on the basis of skloro- and basaltoroving (fiberglass and basalt fiber based products), as well as the results of studying the influence of the parameters of the reinforcing layer on the adhesion of non-metallic reinforcement to concrete. Composite reinforcement consist of the main bar with evenly located anchoring strand at an angle to its longitudinal axis. The anchoring strand is made of thermosetting resin and continuous reinforcing filler.The “A” type reinforcement is formed by pressing a reinforcing strand into the main bar, while protrusions are formed on the surface. In a set of experimental studies, the deformation-strength characteristics of control samples of non-metallic composite reinforcement with various types of gripping and anchoring devices at the anchor sections were determined: tensile strength, elastic modulus and elongation at break. The influence of the parameters of the anchor strand on the adhesion of reinforcement to concrete is determined. A separate phase of the research was to measure the geometric parameters of the pulling test specimens (inner and outer diameters of the bars, the pitch of the periodic profile and the parameters of the anchor layer) in accordance with the current specifications. Determination of the bond strength of non-metallic composite reinforcement with concrete was carried out by pulling out the reinforcing bars from concrete cubes. Test methods were practiced in the laboratory of the department of reinforced concrete and masonry structures of Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
