Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of the modern significance of the historical environment of the city in its social
dimension, the issue considered in the context of the regeneration of historical town planning. The mechanics of the city life are a product of people’s perception and performative abilities at the physical contexts of the city where they act and interact; there for each space holds the specific ability and association for each person who contacts with it. The historic environment holds more layers of material structures such as landscape plan of the city, historical, cultural buildings, regular historical buildings, and environment design that reflects information of the time of their existence and social lives. The positive impact of the historic environment depends on the social connections and that free activity and shared experiences bring people together in improvements of the city; the more social activities are in the historical areas, the bigger possibility of their preservation and lives in a high level of life.
