The reliability of the treatment facilities of water supply systems can be significantly improved through the introduction of scientific research in the field of drinking water treatment. The work involves the use of advanced technologies in the field of water treatment, which allows to improve indicators such as failure rate, repairs, and other methods. To justify the increase in the reliability of wastewater treatment plants, the calculated and operational materials of the introduction of resource-saving technologies in the treatment of natural waters are used, which allows to increase the reliability indicators of both individual structures of technological schemes for water treatment and the entire water treatment complex. The analysis of design and operational materials allows to increase the reliability indicators of the complex of drinking water supply treatment plants – the latter is reflected in a decrease in the failure rate and repairs in common technological schemes for drinking water treatment. Scientific novelty. Scientific and technical justification for improving the reliability of wastewater treatment plants in drinking water supply systems through the use of research and development in the field of drinking water treatment. The proposed method for improving the reliability of drinking water treatment plants through the introduction of research and development, which allows to intensify the processes of water treatment, reduce the consumption of reagents.
