ЕЛЕМЕНТИ АРХІТЕКТУРНОГО ДЕКОРУ ФАСАДІВ БУДІВЕЛЬ ЛЬВОВА 1890-х р. (ПЕРІОДУ ІСТОРИЗМУ)

Abstract

This article discusses elements of architectural decor of Lviv’s building facades that date from 1890s (historicism). The analysis of artistic-decorative elements as an integral part of facade composition is the focus of this research. Particularly, artistic-decorative elements of architectural decor of Lviv’s building facades, such as murals, mosaic, and majolica panels, have been analyzed. Field surveys showed their features (in terms of shapes, patterns, decor motifs, and themes) when usedon the facades of Lviv’s buildings.
