Abstract

The modern organization of megacities and other developed settlements is often characterized by an environmental crisis. The decrease in the quality of human life in the conditions of a modern city contributed to the beginning and stimulation of active search and development of alternative balanced forms of urban settlement of territories suitable for the life of groups of people. One of the generalizing forms of the de-urbanization process today is the concept of ecological settlements (hereinafter - eco-settlements), created to organize an environmentally friendly space for the life of a group of people, as a rule, proceed from the principles of sustainable development and organize nutrition at the expense of organic agriculture. Along with many countries of the world, the practical implementation of the concept of ecovillages is becoming increasingly relevant in Ukraine. Today there are about 2,000 ecovillages in the world.
