Abstract

The use of siphon pipes has certain advantages, which are as follows. Their ground laying cheaper in terms of capital investment than connecting tanks (reservoirs) using tonels. After start-up, siphon pipelines operate in an autonomous mode and do not require energy consumption. But when designing siphon pipelines, certain difficulties arise due to both geodetic conditions their laying, and hydraulic characteristics of pipelines.
